We’ve got clubs running across the North East and Yorkshire, with more on the way in new communities (we are looking forward to opening clubs in London very soon). We’re also exploring opportunities to expand across the UK and beyond - watch this space!
MPC makes a real difference. Our independent evaluation shows members experience improved wellbeing, confidence and social connection. We use validated tools like the Warwick Edinburgh Mental Wellbeing Scale and gather feedback from members and referrers to shape and improve what we do. Please check out our latest social impact report.
Each session runs for a couple of hours. Guys meet, have a cuppa, prep and cook a pie together, and chat along the way. Some clubs eat together, others take their pies home - it’s relaxed, social, and always pie-filled!
It’s easy! Head to our Join a Club page, fill in a short form, and we’ll get in touch to match you with a club near you.
Nope! Men’s Pie Club is completely free to join.
MPC is free to attend and always will be - we want everyone to feel welcome, no matter their circumstances. That said, some people choose to make a donation or contribute towards ingredients to help keep things going or support others to join. It’s completely optional and always appreciated, never expected.
Not at all. Some guys come regularly, others drop in when they can. There’s no pressure - just come along when it suits you.
No problem. MPC is about social connection, not cooking skills. You’ll learn as you go, with plenty of help and laughs along the way.
Some of our clubs are really popular and fill up quickly. If you’ve been added to a waiting list, it just means the club is currently at capacity - but don’t worry, we’ll be in touch as soon as a space becomes available. In the meantime, we might be able to suggest another nearby club or keep you posted on new ones opening soon.
MPC was created to offer something welcoming, hands-on and male-friendly - something that felt natural and easy to take part in. We know that men sometimes connect best through shared activity, and our relaxed approach makes space for conversation, connection and a sense of belonging.
Great question! Men’s Pie Club was started to fill a specific gap for men, who are often underrepresented in community and wellbeing spaces. We’re big believers in projects that are designed to meet the unique needs of different groups, and we’re always happy to share what we’ve learned.
No, Men’s Pie Club isn’t a one-to-one service - it’s all about the group experience. That said, many members tell us they feel more confident and connected after joining, and we’re always happy to signpost people to other services if they need extra support.
Just being there and starting a conversation can go a long way. If you’re worried about someone, encourage them to talk and let them know they’re not alone—sometimes even suggesting something low-pressure like coming along to Men’s Pie Club can help.

Most volunteers give a few hours a week to help run or support their local club. We’re flexible and happy to chat about what works for you.
Yes! We provide training and support for all volunteers, including food safety, safeguarding and running sessions. You won’t be thrown in the deep end - we’ve got your back and will do our best to make sure your experience with MPC is as enjoyable as possible.
Absolutely. We work with a range of referral partners across health and community services. Visit our Referrals page to learn more about the process - it’s quick and easy.
MPC clubs run in a variety of social spaces including community community centres, cafes, libraries, businesses. Check out the following link to find out more.
Free to attend - and everyone takes home a freshly baked pie!
Not at all. Some people have lots of kitchen experience, others have never picked up a rolling pin. Everyone is welcome.
Nope. It’s informal - no start or end dates. Men come when they can, stay as long as they like, and join in however suits them.
MPC is open to all men. Our members currently range in age from 20 to 94. Some are referred, others self-refer. All are welcome.
Clubs usually have around 10 members at a time to keep things friendly and manageable.
Good company, confidence, connection, cooking skills, a weekly pie - and something to look forward to.

We’re working on ways to provide brief updates where possible, while respecting confidentiality. Feel free to get in touch if you have a specific query.
MPC is not a clinical mental health service, but many members say it helps them feel more positive, connected and confident. We offer a supportive environment and can signpost to other services if needed.
Yes – absolutely. We do ask that anyone attending a club as support for someone else takes part as though they were a regular member. This just helps everyone feel as natural as possible and prevents those receiving support from standing out unnecessarily
We’re funded through a mix of grants, partnerships, earnt income (such as merchandise sales) and generous donations from individuals and organisations who believe in what we do.
Yes, please! Head to our support us page to donate or explore sponsorship opportunities.
We work with a range of organisations to open new clubs, share resources, and build our reach. Please check out our Partner With Us page or get in touch to chat more.
All clubs follow basic food hygiene practices, and volunteers receive training and guidance. We keep things clean, safe, and tasty!
Safeguarding is really important to us. All staff volunteers are briefed on MPC’s safeguarding approach and supported to ensure clubs are welcoming, respectful, and safe spaces for everyone.
